The negative roles of reducer design, incorporated materials, unsatisfactory ultrasonic testing and poor state of tracks and suspension gear maintenance were determined. Recommendations for problem solving were given.

This phenomenon is caused by operation of diode-type locomotives under high sliding conditions (stick-slip effect). These locomotives shall be thyristorised to ensure better regulation of traction motors. In addition, significant elements of geometry and dynamic track properties (stability, warp and width of the track) shall be maintained according to EN to ensure locomotive running at design speeds.

In July 2007 the Institute of Transportation CIP prepared the General design of measuring stations system used by the Wagon Maintenance Department for dynamic control of technical state of the rolling stock in the Serbian Railways network. The General design described detection systems for monitoring of rolling stock state using lineside equipment, defined up-to-date technology and monitoring and diagnostic equipment within the rolling stock maintenance, analyzed the most suitable points for installation of detection system and included the preliminary environmental impact analysis and feasibility assessment for procurement of measuring stations system.

This Final design envisaged installation of measuring station for dynamic control of technical state of the rolling stock in Batajnica. G-200 dynamic scale for detection of flat points on the wheel rotation surfaces, irregularities in wagon loading and measurement of axle load shall be installed on the left track od double-track line. Both tracks shall be provided with the device for infrared scanning and measurement of temperature of roller bearings, wheels braked by shoes and brake discs on boogies with disc brakes.
