Geodetic works

The Department of Geodesy is active in the Institute of Transportation CIP, Ltd. and meets with its activity the needs of all other organizational units - Departments and Groups.

The Department of Geodesy performs tasks in the field of geodesy that are of interest for all organizational units which need data of different accuracy and detail levels obtained by different surveying methods. The survey data are a basis for the preparation of different designs. Moreover, the designs which are integral parts of complete design documentation prepared by the Institute of Transportation CIP, Ltd. are also elaborated in the Department of Geodesy.

The Department of Geodesy carries out the following works in the field of geodesy: engineering geodesy, geodetic works related to real estate cadaster and other specific tasks. The relevant design documentation in the field of geodesy is also prepared in the Department of Geodesy.

The following works are performed in the Department of Geodesy:

- Survey of land and structures (railway lines, roads, bridges, tunnels, buildings, land topography);
- Preparation of survey maps (topographic plans, cadastral-topographic plans, digital terrain models);
- Preparation of Reports on geodetic works;
- Design and establishment of geodetic networks (traverses, main traverses, special micro networks);
- Preparation of Reports on geodetic network;
- Preparation of Designs of geodetic works;
- Preparation of Land acquisition designs and/or Designs of geodetic setting out as a part of Designs of reparcelling;
- Preparation of Designs for geodetic auscultation of building/structure and ground behavior;
- Specific tasks (geodetic auscultation of buildings/structures, monitoring of settlement, testing of structures, 3D laser scanning).

The Department of Geodesy has the most modern survey equipment and instruments such as:

  • "Leica Geosystems" - GS16 GPS receivers with related accessories (4 receivers)
  • "Leica Geosystems" - VIVA GPS receivers with controller and related equipment (3 receivers)
  • "Leica Geosystems - Smart Rover" GX 1230 GPs receivers with integrated GSM module for 2 rovers, controller and related equipment (3 receivers)
  • "Leica Geosystems - System 1200" GPS receivers with controller and related equipment (2 receivers)
  • Amberg Rail GRP measuring system for track surveying
  • Leica HDS6200 3D laser scanner of high resolution
  • Leica Geosystems TS11, 1", R500 total station
  • TPS System 1200 - TCRA1201 R300 high-accuracy total station with reflectorless EDM and automatic target recognition and related equipment
  • TPS System 1200 - TCR 1203 R400 high-accuracy total station with reflectorless EDM and related equipment
  • Leica FLEX LINE TS06 POWER total station
  • Leica TC1800 total station
  • "Leica" DNA-03 digital levels with related equipment (4 levels)
  • Hand-held GPS Garmin eTrex VISTA HCx
